The South of England is full of gems that most travelers and even locals have no idea about, but we decided to change that. South East England is home to the counties of Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Surrey, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire. The area of Dorset which includes Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, links the South East to the South West, as outlined in the map at the top of this page. Spanning 1,461 square miles, Sussex shares borders with Kent, Surrey and Hampshire. The South Downs National Park meets Sussex at its Hampshire border and stretches across more than half the county to Eastbourne. Southern England, also known as the South of England or the South, is a sub-national part of England with cultural, economic and political differences from both the Midlands and the North. The Midlands form a dialect chain in a notable north-south divide of England.

2. Bath. Bath is one of the most beautiful cities in the south of England, and definitely one of the top places to visit. The UNESCO-protected skyline is filled with gorgeous Georgian buildings.
