Mavis Dracula-Loughran is the deuteragonist of the Hotel Transylvania franchise. She is the deuteragonist of Hotel Transylvania, one of the two tritagonists (alongside Jonathan Loughran) of Hotel Transylvania 2, the tritagonist of Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, and the main protagonist of Hotel Transylvania 4: Transformania. Johnny is amazed by the sight, telling Mavis more about his travels and amazing her. As the sun begins rising, Johnny realizes Mavis has never seen a sunrise before since the sunlight burns vampires. Cleverly, Johnny quickly hides Mavis in the shade of a chimney's shadow, allowing her to watch the sunrise safely.
It is about a human named Johnny ( Andy Samberg ), who accidentally stumbles upon the hotel and instantly falls in love with Dracula's teenage daughter, Mavis ( Selena Gomez ), and eventually dates her, despite Dracula ( Adam Sandler) attempting to keep Johnny away from his daughter. When Mavis shares the news with Johnny, he reaches out to Drac to thank him for the same. However, skeptical of Johnny's ways, Drac lies about an ancient real estate law wherein any human is prohibited from owning the hotel. Disheartened by the monster real estate law, Johnny wishes he were a monster too! Johnny is not the son-in-law that Dracula would have picked. (Truth be told, Drac probably would have preferred his baby Mavis never married.) However, just because Johnny isn't everything Drac dreamed of, that doesn't mean he isn't a good fit for Mavis. True, Johnny's antics are often ill-advised. But his heart is in the right place.
