The Primaris Space Marines are a new breed of transhuman warriors developed across the span of ten thousand standard years by Archmagos Dominus Belisarius Cawl. Their creation was initiated on Mars on the order of Primarch Roboute Guilliman in the days immediately after the Second Founding in the early 31st Millennium. The Primaris Space Marines represent timely reinforcements for the Imperium's armies as their enemies close in for the kill. This initial wave of Primaris Space Marines emerged from over 10,000 standard years of stasis fully psychologically indoctrinated to each fulfil a single strategic role.

This is a pictorial list of known Space Marine Chapters (A-L) created by Games Workshop. It does not include the nine Traitor Legions. However, it does include Renegade Chapters of Chaos Space Marines as well as those Space Marine Chapters considered Excommunicate Traitoris by the High Lords of Terra, whether they serve the Dark Gods or not.
