Meetings of this Society were held in the Tudor Café, Whimple Street and auction bridge became a regular feature at these gatherings, eventually becoming the raison d'être of the Society. The object of the Club is to provide suitable facilities for playing Duplicate Bridge in a friendly atmosphere and to further the interests of Bridge in the Guildford area. The Tudor Bridge Club promotional work, to recruit for 2019, kicks off with the sponsorship of a decorated Christmas tree in St Mary's Church, Yate. The idea is that local organisations sponsor a tree, then decorate it , as a way of raising awareness of their work whilst supporting another local cause. The Tudor Bridge Club is well established and thriving. It has been running for over 35 years and has 40 members. The club wants to send trainers with equipment out to the venues where other groups meet, and trainers are happy to travel, or to run sessions themselves.
