Wattisham Airfield is a British Army airfield and barracks located near the village of Wattisham in Suffolk, England. It is home to the Army Air Corps ' Apache attack helicopter force. A helicopter repair facility provided by 7 Aviation Support Battalion, REME and 132 Aviation Supply Squadron, RLC is also based at the airfield. Royal Air Force Wattisham or more simply RAF Wattisham ( ICAO: EGUW) was, between 1939 and 1993, the name of a Royal Air Force station located in East Anglia just outside the village of Wattisham, south of Stowmarket in Suffolk, England.

Wattisham airfield is situated in the heart of rural Suffolk, less than 10 miles north west of the county town of Ipswich. It has it's own dedicated Low Fly Area (LFA10) nearby to allow the resident (and other) units to train realistically at low level with the minimum of disruption to the local population and environment. The Wattisham Station Families Day on 24th August 2023 presented the chance for the Red Arrows to perform over their illustrious predecessors, our own Black Arrows Hunter.. and that she learnt so much about the airfield's 'roots' and history. Wattisham started life as an RAF bomber base, but in the post-war period became Suffolk's premier fighter base. During its near 50¬year period in this role it saw all the main RAF fighter types in residence - Meteor, Hunter, Javelin, Lightning and, finally, Phantom.
