I'm trying to decide between 1x6 and 1x4 baseboard trim. I have installed craftsman/farmhouse style window casings (slightly seen in photo) and will be going for a modern-ish farmhouse design. My ceilings are low at 92" high. If I do anything larger than 3.5" trim ( 1x4) I will need to route small sections of trim to fit underneath wall. 19 comments Best Why don't you return your order and just buy 1/2"? It's cheaper and less work. I haven't ordered any yet, just picked up a few test pieces. But I haven't seen any 1/2" x 4" primed pine, at least at Home Depot. We used 1x8 primed pine for a modern lake house reno - looks awesome. Go big or go home!
