Pigs have a difficult time rooting their way through them, and they're sturdy enough to contain cattle or goats as well. It's perfect for supporting heavy climbing plants like pole beans, melons, cucumbers, or squash. Use it to frame the entrance to your yard for dramatic appeal, or arch it over the top of a pathway to create shade and privacy. Simply stated, a cattle panel trellis is a wire arch made from a piece of common farm fencing known as a cattle panel (also called a feedlot panel or a livestock panel). Typically made from welded, four-gauge, galvanized wire, standard cattle panels are 16 feet long and 50 inches wide. They are straight, not rolled like fencing.
