From the video, it seems that the hinge point only allows for the front seats to move back and recline--but doesn't give access to the back seats. This is a fantastic solution, by the way. Sleeping in the back? Question Has anyone ever slept in the back on a camping trip? Had a whole sleep system in the back of my 4Runner, but the Fj is a little bit shorter. Wondering if anyone has come up with a simple solution/system with pics they could show me. Going on a 4 day trip and trying to stay as small as possible. 2 gxace • 3 yr. ago It's super easy and cost like $40! The seat backs are still installed but I did remove the bottoms of the seats. The hinge folds down over the gap from the rear seats to the center console and rests on the console itself. The front seats do need to be slid all the way forward but you end up with 72" of length.
