as far as i've known (which may not be much) frisco styly referred to the way the tank was mounted or lack of footpegs. when the tank has the front jacked way up or has no tunnel, it is referred to as a frisco mount. also, correct me if i'm wrong anybody, some guys didn't use footpegs and would just rest their feet on the cases. i think that was.
