SPOILER. Weird detail in Chapter 3. During Chapter 3, John is caught and drugged by a cultist, presumably Gary, and he then goes on a drug fueled rampage and slaughters a bunch of cultists while we see a set of visions until he sobers up. During this, I noticed something missing when we see John's enthralled with that manic grin: He doesn't. Chapter 1 of Faith arrived in October 2017, introducing the terrifying story of protagonist and priest John Ward. An exorcism had gone terribly wrong and Ward returns to the location one. John Ward is back, in a rather short edit where he still fights the conflicts of his past and the demons that haunt the world that he inhabits. He is joined. On September 21, 1987, Catholic priest John Ward returns to the Martin residence in rural Sterling, Connecticut, to finish the botched exorcism of 17-year-old Amy Martin. Exactly one year earlier, Amy killed her parents and John's superior, Father Allred, during the exorcism ritual, and John was traumatized by the event.

Weeks after his return to the Martin house, John has traveled to Gallup Cemetery to investigate suspicious activity, and finds things relating to activities of a Satanic cult, the Eternal Order of the Second Death, who seem to be connected to Amy Martin. To a point, at least; the blessings will be overwhelmed on the tenth strike, and John will die. Make it count. The Atoner: John's primary drive throughout the series is to save Amy Martin. Hello. Consistent with Faith's simplistic aesthetic style, protagonist Father John Ward doesn't have an arsenal of tools or an upgrade tree to distribute experience points. From an overhead perspective that lets you see the entirety of a room, you interact with the world using just one button to both examine the environment and use whatever object. John Ward is the protagonist of the Faith series. A conflicted priest who is tortured by the past and unsure of his actions and of his Faith itself, he is an exorcist tasked with the banishing of demons and has faced some of the darkest threats to man over the course of his career.
