Baptism is a special step for every member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jesus was baptized while he was on the Earth. He set the example for us to follow. Primary age children love to learn about baptism because they are of the age to prepare for their own special baptism day! Make sure to talk with them about the gift of the Holy Ghost, and share experiences you have had when the Holy Ghost has blessed your life. Some children may worry about baptism because they don't think they have a strong enough testimony. Help your child remember the good feelings they have had while doing something kind, singing in Primary. While baptism washes you of your sins, the Holy Ghost sanctifies, or purifies, you. If you remain faithful to your baptismal covenants, you can have the Holy Ghost with you always. All good people can feel the influence of the Holy Ghost, but only those who are baptized and who receive the Holy Ghost have the right to His constant companionship. This is the promise that we were given when we came into the kingdom through baptism and when hands were laid upon our heads, the gift of the Holy Ghost was bestowed upon us, and we were confirmed members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints—which means we became "fellowcitizens with the saints" in the "household of God.

Well, she actually made the choice quite awhile ago. The covenant of baptism is not something to be taken lightly. Our second BEAR of baptism is to bear testimony, to offer or to bear witness that we know Jesus is the Son of God. That we know He is our Savior and we know His gospel is true.
