Newbie Posts: 24 lowering a suburban « on: June 25, 2009, 01:37:34 AM » Does anyone have any 1/2 ton frame and suspension specs or knowledge of rear of vehicle differences between the suburban and truck frames? Are the frames different ,gas tanks ,leaf springs? I know that the sub has more leaves and the front shackle on the suburban is shorter! « on: September 28, 2007, 06:39:31 PM » I have a 90 1/2ton suburban that I am wanting to lower. Please post any pics and info on whos lowering kit you used. I am looking to do 4/6 or 5/7 with 20inch wheels. Are the lowering kits for the trucks different in the rear than the burb? lowering squarebody suburban using obs parts Overall I am happy with the new Suburban. The body is incredibly straight and the interior is clean. Has several little issues I need to address. First issue, which I fixed tonight, was electrical stuff. Needed a new battery (sitting since 2015) and one new battery terminal. Needed new marker light bulbs, tail light bulbs, and flasher module.
