It's a high-grade bike and worth $250+, and looks like it would clean up very well. As far as the tires, I would put 1-1/8" Paselas on it. The former owner had saved it from the junk pile especially for me. He says, "Doug, do you want to take this on as a project. I don't know much about it. What do you think?" Established in 1923, by 1984 Motobecane had become a top French brand with 2000 employees. Later it became as "MBK.". The frame is a Motobecane Grand Touring that an acquaintance gave the Co-Habitant a year ago.Made of Vitus 888 tubing, it is nicer than the Super Mirage model of his former roadbike.Being a touring frame, it is also somewhat more relaxed, so it made sense to build it up as a transportation bicycle.
