May 27, 2023 - May 28, 2023 HELD EVERY MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND, THE MCCLOUD MUSHROOM, MUSIC & WINE FESTIVAL CELEBRATES THE PROLIFERATION OF WILD MUSHROOM HUNTING THAT OCCURS EVERY SPRING IN AND AROUND MCCLOUD. WITH NEARLY 100 ARTISAN, CRAFT, AND FOOD VENDORS, MCCLOUD DRAWS MORE THAN 8,000 PEOPLE FOR THIS TWO-DAY EVENT. The Mushroom Festival in McCloud over the Memorial Day weekend was the largest received in its history. There were 130 booths of mushrooms for sale, crafts, clothes, plants, artwork, trinkets, jewelry, all kinds of food, and so much more. There was wine tasting, live music, and a contest for the largest morel and boletus mushrooms found. Held every Memorial Day weekend at the base of Mt. Shasta in the historic lumber town of McCloud, the McCloud Mushroom and Music Festival celebrates the proliferation of wild mushroom hunting that occurs every spring in and around McCloud.
