1. Prep the Noodles Use scissors to cut the pool noodles to various lengths. We cut ours to 21", 19", 17", 16", 15", 14", 12", 9" and 8". Place the battery-operated candle at the end of the noodle and trace around it with a permanent marker. Use the scissors to cut out the inside of the noodle for the candle to sit down into it. Step 1: Start by cutting your pool noodle. You will make your very first cut at an angle. Then the next cut will be straight, the next at an angle etc. You will want to cut your pool noodle into 5 pieces, all various heights. You may have some pool noodle leftover, which you will just discard. Step one: Measuring out your candles How long your pool noodle is will determine how many candles you get out of one noodle. The noodle used here is 6 feet long. With my ruler and permanent marker, I made a slightly angled line at 6 inches. The angle will create a realistic drippy look later. Using an Xacto blade, cut out enough space so the tea light will fit into the pool noodle. Then use a glue gun to create "wax drips" on the candles. Have plenty of glue sticks handy because it take quite a few to do 7 candles. Arrange the "candles" onto the charger/plate as desired and glue them down.
