How to Draw Realistic EyesStep 4: Analyzing & Establishing the Value Structure. After I have lightly filled in my shadow shapes and adjusted my proportions, I turn my attention to shading, or rendering. My first priority is to establish my value structure: to determine where my light, half-tone and dark values are. Step 1: Draw the Top Eyelid. For anime eyes, you'll begin by drawing the guideline for the top eyelid and you'll build your anime eye drawing from there. A thick, curved line is perfect and, though you can use your drawing pencil, pens and markers are appropriate, as well. Start your anime eye drawing by forming the top of the eyelid. Draw curved lines by flicking your pencil upwards. Again, try it in the opposite direction. Draw light angled lines flicking upwards, less pressure on the page. Then draw a light angled lines out alternating between flicking up and flicking down. Next, draw some simple eye shapes using only straight lines. Step 3 - Draw the eyelids. Make sure your eyelids are the same length as your initial circle. In a relaxed eye, your top lid should cover a little bit of the iris, and the peaks of your eyelids shouldn't be in the exact same place! The top lid's peak should be closer to the inner eye, and the bottom lid's peak should be closer to the.

Add the eyelids, eyelashes, and eyebrows. Now draw the soft features which transform ocular orbs into attractive human eyes. Use curved lines to show where the eyelids reveal the shape of the eye. Leave space for the tear duct in the inner corner and add any additional lines to show the folds of the eyelid. From most perspectives, the lashes on. Whether you're a realist or working in a more illustrative style, being able to draw and color the eyes in a way that brings life to your characters takes your work to a whole new level. Draw hairs jetting inward and to the right from the top and bottom edges. Leave some gaps between some of the hairs. Notice how the eyebrow gets a little thicker at the end and then tapers to a point near the right end. Blend the tones of the eyebrow with a blending stump. Again, follow the direction of hair growth. Step 1: Outline the Shape of an Eye and Highlight. Let's start off with an HB pencil to sketch the shape of the eye. This outline should not be too dark because you want to prevent it from showing through in the end. We just need the basic shapes outlined at this point. 1. Draw a light horizontal guideline across. Draw an almond shape with one corner tapering downwards. 2. Draw another almond shape of the same size. The space between these eye shapes is equal to the length of one almond shape. 3. Erase the guidelines and draw a circle inside each of the eye shapes.
