Free Quilt Block Pattern Just as the names suggests, this Split Ohio Star quilt block is based on the very popular Ohio Star block. This quilt block is divided diagonally into two halves -- a dark and a light side. Split Stars was originally published in Love Patchwork & Quilting Magazine a couple of years ago and is a modern take on a traditional star block. This new version has a just a few small adjustments to the original design and - more importantly - I have added THREE new sizes to the pattern!
