Steps: Begin by measuring the height of your table saw to ensure the new extension table will be flush with the existing work surface. Cut a piece of MDF board to the size of the desired table surface. MDF is preferred for its flatness and stability. Construct a sturdy frame from 2x4s to support the MDF board. Secure with glue and pairs of 1-1/2" brad nails spaced approximately every 6". Complete the edging by gluing and screwing the table pivot brackets to the side edging. Wrapping the outfeed table in hardwood edging and securing it with brad nails. Now, glue, clamp and nail the side edging to the core with 1-1⁄2" brads.
