To qualify for the Bachelor of Nursing, a student must complete 108 units with a grade of Pass or NGP or better in each topic. Students in this pathway receive 36 units of credit for previous tertiary study and undertake the following program. Bachelor of Health Sciences/Bachelor of Nursing The combined degrees program of Bachelor of Health Sciences/Bachelor of Nursing requires the completion of a minimum of 144 units of study. For admission to the program, students should apply for admission to the Bachelor of Health Sciences combined degrees through SATAC.
Placement topics in the Bachelor of Nursing program range from 2 to 8 weeks in length. Placements occur in a variety of locations including metropolitan, rural and remote areas. Nursing students will undertake at least one rural placement and could undertake multiple rural placements dependant on availability. All the following areas must be covered: Body organisation, maintaining homeostasis, cell function and body tissues Cardiovascular system
