Rocky Point Campground offers 124 campsites, all with water and electricity. 15 of the sites have sewer hook ups, and 38 of the sites have 50-amp electric service. The Rocky Point and Mono Campgrounds on the north shore of Millerton Lake are listed and signed as two separate campgrounds, though both share the same camp host at site 1, and both are extremely similar in terms of their amenities and location. Each campsite in both the Rocky Point and Mono loops permits campers to have parties of. Campgrounds include Rocky Point, 12 sites, and Sandy Flat, 11 single sites and one triple site. There are two day-use parking areas, one adjacent to Rocky Point Campground and the other across the road from Sandy Flat Campground. There is no fee for day use. Union Reservoir has a primitive dirt boat launch at Union East Campground. Tent camping: Rocky Point, 12 sites; Sandy Flat: 11 single sites and one triple site. Rocky Point Campground is part of the Alder Lake Park Campground system, and it is located approximately 4 miles east of the park entrance on Highway 7 and on the southern branch of the reservoir. This end of the reservoir naturally doesn't get all of the attention that the north end draws, and it also may also be a calmer spot in terms of prevailing winds.
Reservation Rules. Rocky Point is located on the upper end of Fort Gibson Lake where Flat Rock Creek meets the main channel. This year-round campground offers a sandy swim beach, playground equipment and one of the best boat ramps on Fort Gibson Lake.
