Seely Beach Lookout Nine generations of the Seely family lived and worked in the area most notably Linus who survived the Saxby Gale in 1869 and later lumbered and farmed in the area. Several geographic areas were later named in honour of the Seely family - the most prominent being Seely Beach on the Fundy Trail Parkway. The pinnacle of a hike of the island is reaching the Seely Point Lookout at the point of the island on the Heron Trail. The Double Arrow Lookout offers guests a chance to see the Seeley valley and the adjacent Swan Mountains from a different and unique vantage point, high above the hillside. It begins at the junction with the East Holland Connector trail #415 and ends at the junction with the Holland-Sapphire trail #48 which continues up the mountain and through a pass to the junction with the Sapphire Lakes trail #120. This trail is three miles of steady uphill.
