Playa de Masca ( Masca Beach) is in a beautiful wild setting on the north coast of Tenerife, in the mouth of the Masca ravine. It is the end of the popular route which leads from the village of Masca. It is a small and isolated beach, with volcanic sand and lots of charm. Its an untouched beach with crystal clear waters at the foot of the cliffs. The village Masca is situated at a high altitude of around 750 m in the Teno mountains, on the western side of Tenerife. Nowadays, the village is part of the municipality of Buenavista del Norte and it's home to around 90 people who still choose to live here.
