It requires no baking and can be made in advance! In the baking dish place a coffee dipped ladyfinger on the bottom, top with 1/3 of the mascarpone mixture and continue for another two layers, finish with the remaining mascarpone mixture. Refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours or even better overnight. Just before serving sprinkle with unsweetened cocoa powder.

Step 1 Prepare the cream: Using an electric mixer in a large bowl, whip together egg yolks and ¼ cup/50 grams sugar until very pale yellow and about tripled in volume. A slight ribbon should fall.
