The Best Steak Fried Rice

Ingredients This steak and fried rice dish is so flavorful and yummy, that you'll put it on heavy rotation. Using everyday pantry ingredients, you can make it even on busy weeknights: Steak marinade: Top sirloin steak, flank, or ribeye steak - These are tender and leaner cuts of steak, perfect for fried rice. Heat your wok over medium high heat, add 1 tablespoon of oil and the eggs, and scramble them until just cooked. You can start scooping them up when they look like they are almost done. Transfer them back into the same bowl you mixed them in and set aside. They will continue to cook in the bowl and you will cook them again in the rice. Saute for 30 seconds. Push everything to the side, and add beaten egg whites. Let the egg whites sit for 20 seconds before scrambling them. Next, add the rice and soy sauce. Saute on high heat for 2-3 minutes. Finally, add butter, the rest of the green onion, steak, and saute on high heat for 1-2 minutes. Make the marinade for the beef by adding ½ cup soy sauce and ¼ cup brown sugar to a bowl. Mix well and add the beef. Allow beef to marinate 15-20 minutes. Pre-heat a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat with 2 teaspoons of coconut oil. Add 2 cups of Asian medley veggies along with the onions and cook for 5 minutes, stirring often.

Steak Fried Rice with Mixed Vegetables

In a bowl, season the steak cubes with salt and pepper. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the seasoned steak cubes to the skillet and sear them on one side for about 2-3 minutes until brown, before flipping to the other side. Sear for another 2-3 minutes. Combine ingredients. Add cooked rice, browned meat, soy sauce and beaten eggs. Stir for 2-3 minutes or until rice is nicely golden and eggs are cooked. Remove the Steak Fried Rice from the heat. Note: If you opt for canned or fresh, pre-cooked peas, add them in this step so they can warm evenly with the remainder of the dish. Season the stir fry.
