This mod fixes Sims' shadows shown as black rectangles. Originally, correctly rendered Sims' shadows have a blue tint. This mod makes the shadows achromatic. You may use this mod even if your game has no problems with rendering shadows. Update (2 Jan 2016): Added the reallyNotMisty version. See the known issues section. If you don't mind mods, then download the Sim Shadow Fix Mod by Nopke. It will remove the black boxes + keep the Sim Shadows. To install, download the Mod and extract the zip content in your save game folder (EA Games > The Sims™ 2 Ultimate Collection > Downloads - if you don't have the Downloads folder, simply create it).

Sims 2 Hi, So I've tried simply reducing shadows, I've tried turning them off completely. I've even edited the file in the config folder under the sp9 folder as instructed online but nothing. I've windows 10 home on 1709 and it's an amd processor with 2gb dedicated to graphics on the laptop. Open the program and select The Sims 2 in the game dropdown menu. If it doesn't automatically find the game, browse to the latest installed expansion or stuff pack.. Download Sim Shadow Fix; Go here and download the prefered file. The shadow fix mod doesn't work for me Hey! I downloaded this game today through the site OldGamesDownload because I couldn't find the game anywhere else. I fixed the resolution problem but after I did I got the black squares as shadows. I follow the shadow fix mod tutorial but some of the files I need to deleted or place the mod in I can't find.
