Misþyrming Instrumentally everything is taken into overdrive essentially, and after a blisteringly fast opening two tracks, of which I think are the highlights of the record, the album really takes a nosedive into cheesy, epic sounding riffs. By track three I'm genuinely wondering if I'm even listening to the same band, really. Misþyrming absorb it seamlessly into their emotionally-infused sound, the snarled vocals (in Icelandic) and guitar lines making them a sort of spiritual cousin to Drudkh, albeit far more concise and less hypnotic than the Ukrainians, with more basic and even rock n roll drumming (Og er haustið líður undir lok, for example).
